My own past struggles have shown me how important it is to have someone walking along side you as you experience hardship. This is why I became a counselor. My goal as a counselor is to help others feel heard and understood. For those who have ever felt unseen, misunderstood, or ignored, my hope is to meet that need for you. As we work together, I hope to help you feel valued and cared for, to know that you are worth it, and to experience a life of joy and peace. My approach to therapy is open and accepting. I hope to meet my clients where they are and join with them on their journey to mental health and stability.

Approach

I bring a faith-based approach to therapy, integrating aspects of various counseling methods with my clients. I am trained in art therapy and I believe this form of therapy can be helpful for all ages, as it provides a unique way to express emotions when words fail. I also use a combination of emotion-focused, dialectical-behavioral, and cognitive-based techniques to explore and understand experiences.
